During my time in St. Petersburg, FL, I had the pleasure of immersing myself in the vibrant local nightlife scene. I stumbled upon some incredibly talented local artists. One standout performance that left a lasting impression on me was by The Branson Welsh Group featuring Kid K at Ruby’s Elixr. Their music was infused with raw emotion and infectious energy, making them my new favorite blues-rock performers.
On a technical note, I’m very impressed with the low light performance of my full-frame camera. First chance I’ve had to really test it out while capturing such a dynamic subject like these rock n’ rollers. There’s no chance I would’ve came away from this night wit any useful shots if I was using my previous crop-sensor camera.
